Hello, Internets!
Well, hello again, if we’re being technical.
See, I started a blog a couple of months ago, but wasn’t particularly happy with the layout and whatnot, and had login conflicts between two email addresses WHICH IS VERY INTERESTING. Anyway, hi! I have no-one reading this at the moment, so hi Conor, how you doing? Good thanks, you? Yeah good. Cool.
The big question that I was asking myself before starting a blog was simple - Why? Is my life so interesting that other people will be dying to know what I’ve been up to, and what my thoughts are regarding Subject X? Then I figured that wasn’t really a question that I could answer, and decided that I’d be writing predominantly for me, my family and my friends. If other people rock up and find the posts here interesting, then cool, if not, that’s fine too. I’m a British born games industry writer who has recently just moved to the United States to carry on working for NCsoft, a fairly large online games company. I’m in Seattle, a city that I’d never been to before, and obviously I’m now a long way away from an awful lot of people that I care about, and who I do, and will continue to, miss.
So, the blog was created. I wanted people to be able to see and pseudo-experience all the cool things that I have been and will be getting up while I’m over here. A blog also gives me a good place to write about the things that interest me, such as games, the games industry, travelling, music, and photography. I don’t really know how much I’ll be posting here, but I’d like to think I’d write something at least once a week. If nothing else it’ll give me something to look back on when I’m old and wrinkly.
Bye for now!
Conor
